Cooperstown Cookie Company Launches Japanese Web Page
Company from Baseball’s Hometown Goes Global
Cooperstown, NY May 5, 2006 The Cooperstown Cookie Company is launching a Japanese language web page to reach out to Japanese baseball fans, in the U.S. and abroad. “It’s a gesture of friendship to the many Japanese speakers around the world who love baseball,” says Pati Drumm Grady, the company’s founder and president. She notes that Cooperstown and the National Baseball Hall of Fame have seen a significant increase in Japanese and Japanese-American visitors as Japanese players excel in the Major League. The first World Baseball Classic, which Japan won, also highlighted the global reach of baseball.
“Our company connects and celebrates the love of baseball with the love of cookies, a twin passion that people share around the world,” says Grady. The company plans to add a Spanish language web page as well.
The Cooperstown Cookie Company has shipped their gourmet baseball cookies to 48 states and five countries. The Cooperstown Cookie Company offers baseball-sized and bite-sized shortbread cookies in a growing number of flavors, including Classic Baseball Shortbread and Mudville Mudball Chocolate Chip Shortbread. The cookies are a popular gift item, and the company is also developing a market as favors for birthdays, weddings, bar mitzvahs as well as corporate events.
Orders can be placed online at the company's web site, www.CooperstownCookieCompany.com, or by phone (607)435-5789. Cooperstown Cookie Company Classic Baseball Shortbread is also available at numerous locations in and around Cooperstown, including the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Cooperstown Cookie Company cookies are baked at Pathfinder Village, a residential community dedicated to children and adults who have Down syndrome. The Cooperstown Cookie Company™ shares a portion of its profits with Pathfinder Village.
A link to the Japanese web site is available from the English version, www.CooperstownCookieCompany.com.
