Cooperstown Cookie Company to Add to Line-Up

Ballpark Bunt Box features trivia, fill-in scoreboard, original artwork, fun packaging, and…nine delicious cookies!

[July 3, 2007, Cooperstown, NY] The Cooperstown Cookie Company will unveil its newest product, the Ballpark Bunt Box, next week in a double launch at the 53rd annual Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, and at the All-Star Gala at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY.  The Ballpark Bunt Box is filled with nine Bunts, bite-sized Classic Baseball Shortbread cookies, available in Classic Shortbread and Mudville Mudball Chocolate Chip Shortbread.  (Yes, that’s nine cookies, a whole bite-sized team’s worth of cookies.)

“The Cooperstown Cookie Company brings together the love of baseball and the love of cookies,” says Pati Drumm Grady, the company’s president and founder. “With the Ballpark Bunt Box, we’ve added a generous helping of fun.”

The animal-cracker like box is covered in whimsical artwork and includes special features for kids, like a blank scoreboard to keep track of the game, tricky trivia (developed with the help of the National Baseball Hall of Fame), and a picture find.

“We designed it with kids in mind. The Ballpark Box makes watching baseball even more fun, whether it’s a big league game or your big brother’s,” says Grady.  She noted that they are in discussions with several teams and expect that the Ballpark Box will be featured in ballparks later this summer. Grady says the Ballpark Box will also be sold in quantity on the company’s web site, www.CooperstownCookie.com.

The Ballpark Box is latest addition to the company’s Homerun Favors line, whose customers include the New York Yankees, a Baseball Hall of Famer’s family wedding, and numerous custom corporate gifts.

The artwork for the Ballpark Box was created by artist Lonni Sue Johnson, whose work appears regularly in the New York Times and other publications.  “Lonni Sue did a phenomenal job,” says Grady.  “She created a true work of art that will delight kids and adults alike.”  Grady also wanted to point out the work of graphic designer Bruce Guyot of Guyot Designworks, who translated Johnson’s drawings into the final product.

The Summer Fancy Food Show is North America’s largest specialty food event, and will be held July 8-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. Cooperstown Cookie Company President and Founder Pati Drumm Grady will be telling the company’s story and offering samples of her Classic Baseball Cookies at booth #5415. The All-Star Gala at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY features a live broadcast of the All-Star Game from San Francisco, with an evening of family entertainment with prizes, snacks and more for baseball fans of every age.

July is a big month for the Cooperstown Cookie Company, which had its official launch at the National Baseball Hall of Fame at the World Series Gala in October 2004. The company’s Classic Baseball Shortbread will be featured as the “Snack of the Day” on The Rachael Ray Show on July 4, and the company also will be featured on Unwrapped on July 6.
