Cooperstown Cookie Company Featured on Unwrapped
Popular Food Network Program Showcases Baseball Cookies from Baseball's Hometown
Cooperstown, New York - May 14, 2007 -The popular Food Network program Unwrapped will feature the Cooperstown Cookie Company in an episode titled "Crazy for Cookies," which premieres tonight, May 14 at 10:30 pm ET/PT. Unwrapped offers behind-the-scenes details on favorite American foods.
"It was great to work with the Unwrapped film crew, and we are really looking forward to seeing the show," says Pati Drumm Grady, the company's founder and president. "It's a wonderful opportunity to tell our story about Classic Baseball Shortbread from Baseball's Hometown. It's the best baseball you ever ate!" The crew filmed for a full day at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and at Pathfinder Village in Edmeston. "Our team had a lot of fun filming in Cooperstown," says Shoshannah Tirk, a researcher with the show. "The classic shortbread cookie partnered with the classic American pastime, baseball, is a winning team." The Cooperstown Cookie Company has strong ties to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The company unveiled its Classic Baseball Shortbread at the Hall's World Series Gala in 2004, the Hall sells Cooperstown Cookie Company cookies in its gift shop, and the company and the Hall are working collaboratively on a number of projects. Pati Grady and some young friends will ride in an antique car in the Hall of Fame Game parade, on Monday, May 21. Pathfinder Village is a residential community for children and adults who have Down syndrome. From the company's start, Pati Grady made a commitment to help raise awareness about and support for Pathfinder Village. The Cooperstown Cookie Company supports Pathfinder Village financially, and includes information on the nonprofit with every order and on its web site, www.CooperstownCookie.com. The Unwrapped program "Crazy for Cookies" will also air May 15 at 1:30 am and May 18 at 7:30 pm.
